Rydal Mount Stables is set in the beautiful countryside that surrounds the village of Gilcrux, West Cumbria. With lovely spacious stables, wash down area, secure feed room and tack room, and communal area for enjoying a cup of tea!

Riding facilities include 30m x 40m floodlit outdoor arena overlooking the Solway coast.
All horses benefit from regular individual turnout in our quiet and peaceful paddocks.
Living on site means I can ensure that the horses receive the absolute best of attention.

Rehabilitation Livery
I can offer a professional and reliable rehabilitation for your horse here at Rydal Mount Stables.
I endeavour to make this stressful and difficult time as easy as possible for you and your horse.
Some of the services include post-operative care, box rest, rehabilitative exercise programmes, in hand walking to classical flatwork/ straightness training.
All programmes are completed by Lyndsey to ensure that your horse gets the absolute best chance of recovery.

I feel it is so important for the owner to know exactly what to expect and how to keep achieving results even after the horse has gone back home. I therefore offer an aftercare package before the horse leaves. This includes riding lessons, schooling work, a written programme of specific exercises tailored to each individual horse and rider. This ensures that your horse continues to work correctly and continues to have the necessary muscles and strength long after your horse has left. At no point will you feel like you are on your own. Long term support and advice is always on hand.
