Physiotherapy
Bringing out the best in your horse
From family pet to Grand Prix dressage horse, all horses can benefit from physiotherapy treatments. Working with other professionals such as vet, farrier, saddler, dentist and coach, I can ensure the best treatment for your horse. Maintenance of equine well being is also key to maximum performance and I am able to offer a wealth of advice on fitness training, rehabilitation exercises, weight management and nutrition
How I can help?
Performance Problems
From pony club games to high level competition, horses can suffer from performance issues that physiotherapy can help with. These include:
Lack of suppleness
Performance deterioration
Incorrect lead or disunited canter
Behavioural Issues
Reluctance to go forwards and accept contact
The Equine Athlete
Physiotherapy can help with all equine disciplines. Having a physio routinely assess your horse, can help identify problems early. These may show up as back or joint stiffness, shoulder tightness, or feelings of restriction. Treatment in support of the competition horse is maximised when done before and after events. This will enhance mobility and suppleness, and aid in tissue recovery.
Injured Horses
After veterinary diagnosis, physiotherapy can complement, and aid treatment undertaken by the vet. It can help reduce pain, improve movement and restore normal function.
Injury Prevention
Underlying musculoskeletal or orthopaedic conditions can be detected early on, preventing serious injuries and pain before they reduce performance.
Senior Maintenance
Just like humans, older horses suffer from aches and pains. Physiotherapy can help keep them supple, improving muscle function and joint flexibility, ensuring they keep comfortable and happy in their later years.
Post Surgery
Successful outcomes following surgical procedures are often aided by good physiotherapy treatments. Encouraging tissue repair, minimising scar tissue, prevention of muscle wastage, and restoration joint range movement, it can speed up the time taken to reach normal function.

Equine Physiotherapy can
RELIEVE PAIN
INCREASE MOBILITY
PROMOTE HEALING
What my clients Are Saying
“
Throughout all the physiotherapy, Lyndsey was really helpful, giving me lots of exercises to do and tailored the programme especially for him. I always knew when Lyndsey had been, as my usual grumpy horse became very relaxed and chilled when she was there. Lyndsey always went above and beyond, working with the vet and farrier whenever needed. I would recommend her to anyone (which I have on many occasions), she always gives the best care possible.

Lyndsey is very professional and always explains what she is doing step by step when treating my mare. After only 2 physio sessions I could already see a difference which was great. Lyndsey works quietly and calmly around my mare which makes her more relaxed. I would 100% recommend Lyndsey!

I got in touch with Lyndsey and asked if she could come and see my horse Archie after he started bucking when being mounted. After the first session and following Lyndsey’s advice and exercise recommendations, he was like a new horse! After every treatment we always see a massive improvement. He is far more relaxed and calm now, and never bothers when being mounted. We are so thankful to Lyndsey and over the moon with Archie’s progress, the transformation is amazing! We highly recommend her!
